As I move forward in my WordPress journey, I have defined my contribution project and selected the Polyglots Team as the group I will be collaborating with.

What drew me to the Polyglots Team is the critical role internationalization plays in keeping WordPress open, global, and accessible to everyone. Language shouldn’t be a barrier to building on the web, and helping translate core tools and documentation ensures that millions of non-English speakers can use WordPress effectively.

My contribution project focuses on content translation and localization, specifically translating and reviewing official lessons and strings into Spanish to expand localization coverage. This will directly contribute to making WordPress tools and learning materials available to the global Spanish-speaking community.

By the end of this program, I hope to accomplish two main goals: first, to complete my translation deliverables and expand accessibility for Spanish speakers; and second, to gain hands-on experience with GlotPress, translation workflows, and internationalization standards within the WordPress ecosystem. Writing down this reasoning now will serve as a great reference point as I begin contributing!
